My Life In Jumbo’s Clown Room – Laughing Down the Rabbit Hole – Part 1

Up is down and down is up. I suspect we have been living behind the looking glass the whole time. I’m just hoping there is a joke in there somewhere, cause this shit be crazy.

Most of my professional life I have been a stand-up comedian. I have traveled to many comedy clubs, bars, and various venues throughout the United States. My mainstream claim to fame is that I was a top ten finalist on the first season of Last Comic Standing. The year was 2003. Joe Millionaire was hit, and American Idol was just in it’s third season. My instinct told me it was going to change the way comedians would be discovered. Up until then, the way an unknown stand-up comedian got national exposure was to appear either on The Tonight Show, Conan O’Brien, or David Letterman. The pitch for the new reality series was a nationwide talent search for the Last Comic Standing in a head to head competition of whose the funniest. Eventually the competition would be narrowed down to ten finalists who would all receive a golden key to live in a mansion, bicker and fight with one another, create alliances, have weekly challenges, and eventually engage in a stand-up comedy mic showdown until there was a winner voted by the American public. I had a notion that people would get a peak behind the veil of the life of a stand-up comedian. It had never been done before, and I was excited to be the first cast in what is now a very successful reality series.

“Today many things have been titled, “Last…Standing” It is a little trippy to realize that I participated in creating a phrase that reinforces artistic Darwinian consciousness, and I feel a responsibility to correct my mistake”.

At the end of 2003, I was one of 100 reality stars paraded on the stage at the Universal Amphitheater lead by comedian Kathy Griffin in VH1’s Big in 2003 show. Reality Television broke through as being all the rage. Sure, all the actors and writers were pissed, but there was something much more sinister happening. There was a new clever genre of television to socially engineer us. The Hollywood wizards created a game of desire for it’s participants, added sound bytes, and then edited it into a perfect agenda to be aired to the American public as reality. Our new president elect Donald Trump is proof of how powerful this genre of Television has become.

So far, after two seasons of LCS and a large dose of national exposure I have not continued to work in mainstream television, but instead joined what is referred to as the Truth media, or Alternative media The Alt media is now being accused of creating “fake news” by a corrupt mainstream media attempting to cover up a major pedophile ring involving many of the elite, world leaders, religious leaders, and the entertainment industry. Oh, and we are also responsible for getting everyone’s favorite misogynist white supremacist elected as president of the United states.

How did I end up in the Truth media? Well, It all started with The Dope Show, and the 420 comic Jefferey Peterson. I co-produced a marijuana themed show out of the Ice House Comedy Club in Pasadena, and subsequently ended up in a raid by the FBI in a medical marijuana dispensary located in North Hollywood CA. Before the raid, I was not a political person, and rarely paid much attention to world affairs. Hand-cuffed and on my knees, I realized that I had been asleep. I had voted for legal medical marijuana and now I had a gun in my face. Something was terribly wrong. This “something wrong” inspired me to create new material.

In December of 2009, I put on my little black dress and took a taxi to attend a film wrap party at a place called Jumbo’s Clown room. A few hours later I returned home totally disoriented and completely nude…

Freedom Of Joyce’s first guest will be cannabis freedom fighter Ron Kiczenski.

Ron has been speaking his truth to power for most of his life and has worked on many issues such as world peace, hunger, (poverty) homelessness, protecting humans and other critters from abuse, stopping deforestation and environmental destruction and the like. In the early 90’s Ron heard a news commentary on the uses and politics of the cannabis plant by Hugh Downs which shifted his focus to an issue that he still feels would most positively impact all the other issues he had previously been working on.

After thoroughly researching the history and human uses of the cannabis plant, It was clear to Ron that this plant would not only provide most all the basic necessities of human life, but would do so in a way that created better health, non polluting renewable resources, jobs and a redistribution of wealth, while simultaneously making obsolete so many of the destructive practices used in the production of other limited and exclusively controlled resources like petroleum, timber and cotton.

In 1993, after much effort trying to communicate his conclusions to all levels of government, and at a time when NORML and the national press were keeping any discussion of cannabis limited to whether Clinton inhaled or not, Ron decided to go all out in an effort to bring his conclusions to the people, so he compiled all his research consisting mostly of relevant government documents and relevant books, and added a half pound of ‘illegal’ cannabis and sent the package overnight mail to President Clinton at the White House.
Ron thought he would be arrested and go to trial which he had hoped would serve as a catalyst for the information to disseminate out to the people. The government never filed charges, but the story got out regardless and soon evolved into the intended catalyst which at first was reaching hundreds of thousands, then millions, then tens of millions as the story went world wide.

Over the next 3 years Ron was instrumental in organizing dozens of actions in effort to delete what he see’s as fraudulent laws that have robbed the world of the most important and useful plant humans have ever known. Some of the other most notable (publicly known) actions Ron was a part of include “Hemp Across America”(a simultaneous press conferences organized across the country to bring attention to the invaluable cannabis plant), “3 hawk stand” (the 1994 planting of 20,000 cannabis seeds on the 4th of July, calling the sheriff and declaring the laws unconstitutional), “The Pine Ridge Hemp Project” , the HPRco application to grow 340,000+ acres of hemp in 18 states, and the Arizona tax stamp law.

From 1993 to 1996 the public sentiment and momentum stemming from Ron’s actions snowballed and had a direct influence on the timing of, and the resulting vote on prop 215 “The Compassionate Use Act” which was passed into law by the people in 1996.

Some of the many other actions Ron has been involved with over the years include filing the only “Endangered Species” petition ever filed to protect the cannabis plant (based on the irreconcilable conflicts of law between the Controlled Substances Act and the Endangered Species Act), also the civil suit “Kiczenski v Ashcroft” (the only civil suit ever filed in the US claiming growing natural plants for ones own needs is a naturally endowed human right protected by the 9th amendment), and most recent and most important according to Ron was “The Freedom to Garden Human Rights Restoration Act of 2014”.

Among other things including his involvement with “Americans for Cannabis” (a group trying to forward the Freedom to Garden Human Rights Restoration and Protection of Nature movement to every state), Ron is currently doing a weekly radio show called Turning Point, broadcasting out of Lake Port California on KPFZ 88.1 FM.

Go Topless Day Protest & Rally Venice Beach CA

I just recently went to a Go Topless Day Protest & Rally in Venice Beach California.  I was inspired to take Freedom Of Joyce Media to do a women on the street interview for a multitude of reasons.

Pasties me lighter smaller

I had recently interviewed my friend Suzanne Whang. I noticed that she made a  post over her discontent with someone whom had reported a photo that she had posted on facebook. The photo was a a picture of her breasts after treatment for cancer.

Facebook VS Free Speech

Suzanne felt her photo was tasteful and very helpful to woman who were struggling with self acceptance of their body image post  treatment.  Facebook reviewed the complaint and determined that her photo did not fit into the facebook community guidelines.  https://www.facebook.com/communitystandards.

Social media platforms such as facebook and instagram allow pics of breasts as  long as the nipples are covered.  According to facebook, the only acceptable nipple exposure allowed would be what  “they” determine as “art”.

birth_of_venus_botticelli

If it is not art, but a selfie of your bare beauties you must cover the nipples.  If you want, you can cut and paste a man’s nipples over your nipples in the photo. This has been determined to be acceptable for social media platforms like twitter, instagram, and facebook.  There are even nipple templates online that you can use for your convenience.

Legally, the nipples are considered lewd. Exposure of your twins sunny-side up in public, can get you arrested in many states in the US.

Gotopless.org  created the hashtag #freethenipples and just recently aired their documentary “Free the Nipples”  a few days before the protest took place on Venice Beach. Suzanne Whang took it a step further on facebook by creating the hashtag #freethevowels, because profanity is acceptable on social media if you replace the vowel with another symbol like this “F#ck”.

2015-08-23 19.26.06

The catalyst for gotopless.org  started back in 1992 with the case People VS Ramona Santorelli and Mary Lou Schloss. The New York Court of Appeals ruled in favor of two women who were arrested with five others for exposing their breasts in a Rochester park, holding the law void as discriminatory.  The ruling was put to the test in 2005, when Jill Coccarro bared her breasts on Delancey Street in New York, citing the 1992 decision, and was detained for twelve hours. She subsequently successfully sued the city for $29,000.

In 2007, Go Topless, a national organization supporting gender equality in shirtlessness laws, established Go Topless Day. Dozens of women protest – often topless – in thirty cities around the United States, promoting equal rights to be shirtless.

Go Topless was formed in the state of Nevada by a former French auto-racing journalist Claude Vorilhon, currently known as Rael, spiritual leader of the Raelian Movement, a UFO religion.

I also, became interested in covering this protest with Freedom Of Joyce media because I had noticed women in the US, and other countries protesting topless with messages written across their chests rather than pieces of cardboard or banners.

Take notice that circles of black ink have been drawn over the nipples in this photo, which means one should be able to share it on facebook or instagram with no penalties.

The video below is the trailer for FOJ Media’s coverage of the Go Topless Day rally and protest that took place in Venice Beach  August 23, 2015.  You can watch the  full video for only $1.99.  Click here to purchase and view now.

Women protesting topless or nude is nothing new.  According to legend, Lady Godiva rode nude on a horse through the streets of England in order to to gain a remission of the oppressive toll imposed by her husband on his tenants.

Perhaps, the courage of woman to bare all to change the world is just what we need right now.  Changing the world one breast at at time.

Please note that you must be over 18 to view the video.  The video is rated TVMA.
